Kinrara Metta Buddhist Society (KMBS) is a young and dynamic Buddhist organization that brings the dhamma to the Buddhist community of Puchong, Kinrara and its surrounding areas. KMBS has laid the foundation for creating a community of wholesome individuals and family institution that promotes good noble values in accordance with the Teachings of our Master, the Lord BUDDHA.
We organise both spiritual and communal activities. The spiritual activities include weekly sermons/dhamma talks, meditation, chanting and annual retreats. Communal based spiritual activities include Sunday Dhamma School, Youth Development activities, Fellowships, Children and Youth Camps and Parenting Courses to name a few. All activities are geared toward the strengthening of moral values in individual and to instill awareness in parents and children of their responsibilities to family, country and the world at large.
As our current premises, which is on temporary loan basis is critically inadequate to cater for the overwhelming demand for Sunday Dhamma School, Youth activities and other community based activities, the Building Fund Committee is working to raise funds for the purchase of a new building. To realize this dream of “a home of our own”, Kinrara Metta Buddhist Society (KMBS), Building Fund Committee is organizing a Building Fund Dinner, at Hee Lai Ton Restaurant, in Sri Kembangan. The Dinner is scheduled to be held on Saturday 12th July, 2008 at 6pm sharp, serving both vegetarian and non vegetarian food.

MESSAGE OF PRESIDENT OF KINRARA METTA BUDDHIST SOCIETY 2008/2009 ‘TURNING DREAM TO REALITY’
As the new President of KMBS, it gives me great pleasure to pen down a few words on the history and this auspicious present occassion of KMBS.
Setting up and getting devotees to come and served the Puchong Buddhist Community was always my dream after being the President of Pusat Bandar Puchong Resident Association, Puchong [PPPBP] and a staff in the Buddhist Institute Sunday Dhamma School, Buddhist Maha Vihara, KL [BISDS] 10 years ago. Now, as an Advisor of PPPBP, Exco member of BISDS and a mentee of Ven. Mahinda Thera, it’s our dream to have a land and a new Building of our very own to accomondate the growing number of devotees and students in our KMBS Sunday Dhamma School. Dreams will turn to realities, if we have a good human resource of Dhammafarers seeking the Ultimate Truth to Nibbana and the Compassion for the Happiness and Welfare of many. With todate KMBS team, I must said I never enjoy as much as I enjoyed before in all my social and volunteered work. The team spirit of ‘Metta’ have shown us the ultimate truth of Happiness.
We must, however, say a big ‘SADHU’ to our KMBS Spiritual Advisor, Ven. B. Sri Saranankara Nayaka Maha Thera for getting this present Building for us and all who have donated wisely in this new Building Fund Raising Programme. Without you all, this is not possible. Thank you my Kalyana Mitras, thank you very much.
Your commitment, support and Dhammadana will pave many good things to come and basically for our future generations of tomorrow. Thus, creating a peaceful and harmonious group of good Buddhist with ‘Metta’ in our hearts. As Bhante Mahinda basically put it, for the Welfare and Happiness of the Puchong Community and its vicinity.
Last but not least, I like to thank the KMBS Building Fund Committee for the Right Effort and hard work in making this new Building Fund Project and dinner possible. May the merits accrued improved the Welliness of their livelihood and thus, paving the way to their final liberation of Nibbana. May the Buddha Sasana guide them with Mudita and Uppeka too.

Ven.Sir, the Chief Hight Priest of Malaysia, Ven. K Sri Dhammaratana Nayaka Maha Thera, also the Chief Priest of Buddhist Maha Vihara and the Founder & Spiritual Advisor of Ti-Ratana Welfare Society. Our KMBS Spiritual Advisor, Ven.B.Sri Saranankara Nayaka Maha Thera, the Chief High Priest of Malaysia, Judiciary, Ven.A.Ratanasiri Nayaka Maha Thera, the abbot of Seck Kia Eenh Temple, Malacca and also the the Chief High Priest of Malaysia, all Maha Sanghas, our distinguist guests, our KMBS Advisor, Bro. Tan Huat Chye, Organising Chairlady of this evening dinner, Sis.Paru, the Chairman of the KMBS Building Fund Dinner, Bro. Tan Kim Chan, our fellow KMBS devottees and most of all of you – our Kalyana Mitras, our spiritual friends and supporters.
